Rikki Review: TIGI Catwalk Your Highness Line

Since losing my lush pregnancy locks, I've been on the hunt for anything volumizing or thickening for my hair.

Pre-pregnancy, my hair had always been thick and full.  If I wanted a really sleek look, I would shower the night before, sleep on my hair to flatten it and then use a straight iron in the morning.

During my pregnancy, it just became thicker, fuller and shinier.  Boy was I in love!  I wouldn't even have to blow dry it.

It's common post-pregnancy for a woman to lose a lot of hair becuase during pregnancy, the hair pretty much stops falling out, leaving you with an exceptional mane.

For me, this resulted in flatter locks.  Although I have A LOT of baby hair growing in to replace the lost hair (thank goodness! ::end panic attack::), I definitely had to get used to putting a little bit more effort into my hair.
Volumizing products are really a hit or miss with me.  They either really dry out my hair, leave my hair feeling greasy or dirty because of the product residue or just plain don't work.

Since I've been trying to many products out there, I thought I would share my hits with you.  This is definitely one of them.

Your Highness Elevating Shampoo
Your Highness Nourishing Conditioner
Your Highness Thickening Gel Creme

Process: Shampoo, conditioner, towel dry, gel creme and blow dry with a round brush

When I first put the shampoo in, it kind of had a coconut hinted smell.  I'm not a big fan of anything coconut scented becuase it reminds me of tanning oil or the sun.  Some people like that - just not me.  The coconut hinted smell doesn't last long.  In fact, this product leaves your hair with a light, clean scent.  Not perfume-y at all.

The conditioner is very light.  It doesn't have that "did I get it all out?" feeling.  Afterward, your hair just really feels clean.

The gel creme is very light and doesn't feel heavy in your hair.  And WOW does it work! It gives you the volume and definitely adds shine.  The first time I used this line, I went to lunch with my brother and the first thing he said was "whoa, your hair is bigger than normal".  What a guy thing to say, right?  He meant it in a good way though ;)

I decided to share some pictures with my hair straight and no filter.  I normally add waves to add more volume and movement, but to get the whole idea of how this product works, I thought straight would be best.  Any yes, I need a trim :P

Definitely give this product a shot and let me know how it works for you!
