DIY: Candy Bouquet

For my neice's promotion from 5th grade, I made her this candy and gift card "bouquet".  I knew I wanted to give her a gift card to her favorite store, but I didn't want to just throw it in an envelope.  At my baby shower, one of my friends gave me a diaper bouquet and it was adorable.  So I thought I would duplicate something like it.  My neice loves her candy so I thought I would do flowers, candy and put the gift card on top.  This project took be about a total of 15 minutes to put together.

Here's what you'll need:

1 plant pot
1 foam ball to insert into the plant pot
Barbeque skewers
Hot glue gun
Hot glue gun sticks
Artificial flowers
Various candies
Gift card
15-20 minutes

Put a dot of hot glue onto the gift card and glue onto one barbeque skewer.

Break your barbeque skewers in various lengths.

Spread candies on a counter, face down.  Put a dot of glue onto the candy and place skewer on top.  Repeat for all the candy.  Allow to dry.  If you don't allow the glue to dry, the candies will not stay stright on the skewers.

Place the foam ball inside of the plant pot.  Insert the gift car skewer in the middle so that you can work your way around it.

Insert your flowers in various places in the pot.  This way, you can fill the space with the candies.

Insert the candy skewers into the foam in various places to fill in the voids.

Voila!  A quick, fun gift for anyone :)
